Youth leaders demand justice for Adhikari couple

KATHMANDU:Taking strong exception to the statements of UCPN (Maoist) leaders over the arrest of a person accused of involvement in Krishna Prasad Adhikari´s murder, youth wings of Nepali Congress and CPN-UML and other eight parties have urged the government to fulfill the demands of Adhikari´s parents.



Issuing a joint statement on Sunday, they also accused Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal of giving protection to murderers. [break]



Adhikari´s father Nanda Prasad and mother had staged fast-onto-death for about one and a half month demanding justice. UCPN (Maoist) had enforced strike in the Valley and Chitwan on Saturday after the arrest of one of the accused.
