KATHMANDU, May 20: Chairman of the Madhesi People´s Rights Forum (MPRF) Upendra Yadav has urged the Maoists not to link the issue of CA term extension with the prime minister´s resignation.

Talking to myrepublica.com over the telephone from Bara, Yadav said the Maoists should not pose conditions for CA´s term extension as CA is much bigger issue than the prime minister´s resignation. "CA alone can safeguard democracy and federalism," he said.

Yadav alleged that the prime minister is conspiring to finish both republic and democracy. "The Maoists should cooperate to extend the CA term as it alone can save the achievements [of Janaandolan II]."

"The Maoists must reconsider their stance. Madhav Kumar Nepal is playing a game to put the entire nation into jeopardy," he said. "The Maoists should not act as an accomplice to such game."

He said teh Forum has differences with the Maoists also on the latter´s announcement to issue constitution through streets. Asked whether their alliance with the Maoists was broken, Yadav said they just have differences over the two issues at present.
