NEPALGUNJ, July 7: Building of new sports infrastructure at the Nepalgunj Stadium, Banke, is going on in full swing in view of the upcoming Eighth National Games scheduled to be held here coming December.
Works to upgrade the existing infrastructure including the covered hall based in the stadium are also underway, as stated by mid-western sports development committee chair, Bhim Oli.
The new infrastructure also includes the construction of a swimming pool at the cost of around Rs. 1.8 million.
The Eighth National Games will feature over 35 events, including football (men's and women's category), chess, kabbadi and judo. It occurs every four years. RSS
