Worker deployed at polling center found dead

KHOTANG, June 29: A worker of District Technical Office, Khotang, deployed at a polling center of the district, has been found dead on Wednesday night.

KHOTANG, June 29: A worker of District Technical Office, Khotang, deployed at a polling center of the district, has been found dead on Wednesday night. 


The deceased have been identified as Pancha Bir Rai, 44, of Nehca-9, Solukhumbu district.



He was deployed at polling center of Likuwa Pokhari in Khotehang Rural Municipality-1 of the district.

Upon being reported that Rai drank alcohol at the polling center, the office recalled him to the district headquarters Diktel. Later in the day, however, his body was found at Sapsukhola, a place between Lamphyang and Temma, according to Sub-inspector Manoj Yadav of District Police Office (DPO), Khotang.


It has been reported that Rai died due to excessive consumption of alcohol. However, this has yet to be verified. Rai's body has been sent to District Hospital Diktel for post mortem, informed the DPO.
