Woman’s body found buried in Dhanusha

Reshmi went missing from home after having dinner on Wednesday morning. Her daughter-in-law, while searching, found her dead body buried behind her own house at night, said Sonu Shah, police inspector of the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar.

JANAKPURDHAM, Dec 26: A dead body of a woman was found buried in Dhanusha on Wednesday night. The body of Reshmi Devi Mukhiya, a resident of Musahari Tole, Hariharpur, Mithila Municipality-3, was found buried in the ground behind the toilet of her house.


Reshmi went missing from home after having dinner on Wednesday morning. Her daughter-in-law, while searching, found her dead body buried behind her own house at night, said Sonu Shah, police inspector of the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar.

According to him, Reshmi Devi's husband, Dashaiya Mukhia Bin, has been detained by the police for investigation into the incident.


Police Inspector Shah said that Dashaiya, the deceased's husband, was brought to the Area Police Office, Mahendranagar for investigation from home at night. He said, ”Her husband was not able to speak because he had consumed too much alcohol at night, and now we are questioning her husband about this matter.”


Police said that the body has been sent to Province Hospital Janakpur for a post-mortem and further investigation is underway.
