MORANG, May 1: A 19-year-old woman has been arrested in Biratnagar for possessing counterfeit Indian currency.
The suspect, identified as Simpi Baisanti from Araria, Bihar, India, was caught on Tuesday evening in Biratnagar Metropolitan City-13 with seven fake Indian 500-rupee notes.

According to police, she was apprehended after attempting to pay with a counterfeit note at a local grocery store. Acting on a tip-off, a police team from the Rani Area Police Office arrested her with the fake currency.
Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is underway.
