With seven fatalities in past 24 hours, Nepal's coronavirus death toll rises to 228

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: At least seven people succumbed to novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across Nepal in the past 24 hours.

KATHMANDU, Aug 31: At least seven people succumbed to novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across Nepal in the past 24 hours.


According to Jageshwar Gautam, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, one woman each from Gorkha and Rupandehi died of coronavirus.


Likewise, a four-year-old girl from Mahottari district who tested positive for the virus also died in the past 24 hours, he said.

Similarly, one man each from Jhapa, Rautahat, Chitwan and Bhaktapur succumbed to coronavirus in this period.


"With this, the number of people dying of coronavirus has risen to 228," Spokesperson Gautam said.
