KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The COVID-19 death toll in Nepal has risen to 175 on Wednesday, with 11 fatalities in various parts of the country in the past 24 hours.
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr Jageshwar Gautam, two females and nine males succumbed to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
Three people from Mahottari, two each from Kailali and Bara, and one each from Morang, Bhaktapur, Banke and Kathmandu died of COVID-19.

151 COVID-19 patients are currently undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of various hospitals across the country. Of the 151 patients in ICU, 16 are from Province 1, 44 are from Province 2, 71 from Bagmati Province, three from Gandaki Province and 17 from Province 5.
Likewise, 14 COVID-19 patients are currently receiving treatment on ventilator support. One of them is from Province 1 and the rest of others are from Bagmati Province.
