POKHARA, Oct 9: With 39 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) detected in Gandaki Province on Friday, the coronavirus case tally in the province has soared to 4,572.

According to Gandaki Province Health Directorate, Tuberculosis Treatment Center and Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences recorded 28 and 11 new cases of coronavirus, respectively.

Earlier this morning, the province reported 35 additional cases during polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests conducted at Tuberculosis Treatment Center in Pokhara.  Of the new coronavirus patients, 24 are from Kaski, five from Tanahu, three from Lamjung, two from Nawalparasi (East) and one from Gorkha.

The new coronavirus patients have been taken to isolation facilities.
