Winners of Mrs State contest felicitated
DHARAN, April 5: Winners of beauty pageant ‘Mrs State’ have been felicitated with cash prize in Dharan on Saturday. With an aim to empower women, the pageant was organized on March 10 at Dharan Sabha Griha. Women Birth Group, the organizing team, handed out the prizes to the winners amid a special event held at local Hariyali Ban Samuha's hall.
Samjhana BK, Kaanun Karki, and Nira Sankar were the winner, first runner-up and second runner-up of the competition, respectively. The winners were awarded Rs 100,000, Rs 50,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
Deputy mayor of Dharan Municipality Manju Bhandari Subedi and proprietor of Gajurmukhi Trade Link Gopal Acharya jointly handed over the cash prizes to the winners. Subedi was the chief guest of the event and Acharya was the main sponsor of the competition.
Speaking at the event, Subedi said: “Mrs. State had played an important role to empower married women of our society.”
