KANCHANPUR, Nov 17 : A herd of wild tuskers demolished five houses of the families who have been residing at Tarapur camp of the Kanchanpur-based Shuklaphanta National Park.
The wild elephants also destroyed all the grains stored inside the houses of the national park-displaced families.
Sub Inspector at Area Police Office, Jhalari, Lalmani Joshi informed that the herd of elephants in the number of 20-25 which were believed to have come from the national park area at around 11.00 last night broke down the houses of Dil Bahadur Luhar, Jit Ram Chaudhary, Lal Bahadur Dagaura, Bijaya Dagaura and Dukharam Dagaura.
He also shared that the elephants destroyed the grains stored in their houses. RSS
