Why BTS Suga lied about his COVID symptoms

BTS a.k.a. the Bangtan Boys are one of the most iconic and popular boy bands around the world. It is the most followed K-Pop music group across the globe and its members Jin, J-Hope, Jimin, Jungkook, V, Suga and RM have one of the largest fan bases in and around the world, known as ARMY.
In December last year, BTS members Suga, RM and Jin had tested positive for the SARs-COV-2 virus. V contracted the virus in January 2022, while J-Hope tested positive in March.

Miraculously, Jungkook was the only BTS member who did not get infected and the band talked about his 'super antibodies' in a recent Vlive session. Boasting about the same, Jungkook admitted, “I think I am the Super Antibody…There are some people who don’t get the disease…I think I am the super antibody considering that I haven’t been confirmed yet.”

However, during the live episode, Suga took the opportunity to confess to his fans that he had asked Big Hit Entertainment to not disclose his COVID status as a symptomatic carrier. Although his symptoms were not very severe, he revealed that he did not want to worry his fans. “I said my symptoms are not that severe because I thought you may worry, but I had symptoms," he was quoted saying.

Fans were moved by his statement and showed support for his concern for his fans.
