What sets apart Sony electronic products from other brands?
The basic thing that distinguishes our products from others is that we provide total entertainment value to customers by handing over quality and user-friendly products at reasonable price rates. For instance, our latest introduction, Bravia Internet television, is one of its kinds of interactive products that hands over TV and Internet experience at the same time. We also partner with other companies to introduce best range of products.
What are the new products that the company plans to introduce in the Nepali market?
We will continue to innovate and bring new products in the future as well. After Bravia Internet television, we are planning to soon launch new DSLR camera in the market. The new product will be highly advanced compared to the existing range of DSLR cameras and is loaded with translucent mirror technology, has faster frame rates and takes excellent pictures.
Sony products are believed to be more expensive compared to other companies. What is your say on this?
Though we are comparatively expensive than other brands but we are proud to say that we are giving quality products to the consumers. However, many of our products such as digital cameras are fairly priced. Our main motto is consumer satisfaction beyond price and we have quality products that can be completely trusted and are user-friendly. If people want to go for quality products, price should not be the hindrance. But we are market leader in most of the product categories in Nepal.
What are the major challenges in promoting any electronic product in Nepali market?
I have experienced that electronic market in Nepal has grown beyond expectations. Today, even Nepali consumers are doing a lot of research in knowing about the latest innovation before buying any product. They have become very much experimental. So, the major challenge is to hand over the latest innovations to the consumers at its earliest. This is the major reason behind coming up with the state of the art showroom.
