Warning and advisory for next 24 hours across country: DHM

KATHMANDU, July 12: Meteorological Forecasting Division under Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has issued an alert warning along with advisory for the next 24 hours across the country.

KATHMANDU, July 12: Meteorological Forecasting Division under Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) has issued an alert warning along with advisory for the next 24 hours across the country.


According to the forecasting division, the Eastern and central areas of the country will receive heavy rainfall. Likewise, the Eastern Terai region and mid-hill region will witness an extremely heavy rainfall which may trigger landslides in those areas.

The division has mentioned that people living in those flood-prone settlements have been informed about the risk of flooding in anticipation of the rise in water level in the middle and eastern parts of Terai region.  


There is also a high possibility of water levels in small rivers and big rivers increasing beyond normal limits, according to a notice issued by DHM.


There will be continuous rainfall along with the strong wind in different parts of the country in the next three days, DHM said.  


The division has also mentioned that air and road transport will be affected adversely due to heavy rainfall.
