The closed session had begun from Friday. The closed session had UML Secretary Yubaraj Gyawali as convener and party Secretary Shankar Pokhrel, ANNFSU ex-chairmen and Shree Prasad Sah from Madhes in the presidium.
Laxman Lamsal, Nawina Lama, and Kishor Bikram Malla have filed candidacies for the post of the chairman of ANNFSU. However, efforts for consensus for the post of chairman is underway.
The election process will begin after a while, said outgoing secretary of ANNFSU Rachana Khadka.
There are some 1,500 representatives participating in the general convention from across the country.
