DOLAKHA, Nov 20: Voting has been stopped at two polling stations in Dolakha. 


Chief District Officer Bhoj Raj Khatiwada said that voting was halted following a clash  between rival party cadres on the premises of Kalapani Secondary School, Japhe of Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-3 and Putalikath polling station of Baiteshwar Rural Municipality-2 in the district.

CDO Khatiwada said that efforts are being made to resume voting in both the places. Chief of the Dolakha District Police Office, DSP Ganga Paudel said that at least 13 rounds of shots were fired in the air at various polling stations in the district to contain tense situations.


Voting, which was put off in the morning in Malu, Bhedpu and a few other places in the district, resumed after noon.
