Voting for FSU underway at Saraswoti Campus

KATHMANDU, April 12: Voting for Free Students´ Union (FSU) election at Saraswoti Campus, Thamel, Kathmandu is underway from 7 a.m. Sunday.



The election, which was originally scheduled for March 19, was deferred due to dispute among the student unions for various reasons.



"So far the voting has been peaceful," Narayan Adhikari, office secretary of Nepali Congress student wing Nepal Students´ Union (NSU) told myrepublica.com. The voting will continue till 3 p.m., according to him.



The NSU and All Nepal National Free Students´ Union (ANNFSU), student wing of CPN (Unified Marxist-Leninist), have formed an alliance in the campus. All Nepal National Independent Students´ Union - Revolutionary, the student body of the ruling Unified CPN (Maoist), and other student unions are also in the fray.
