KATHMANDU, March 19: Voting for the election of the Free Students' Union (FSU) is underway in constituents and affiliated campuses including Tribhuvan University (TU).
The voting started from 8 o'clock in the morning on Sunday in Kathmandu valley and other related polling stations in the country. FSU election is held after 14 years. Most of the 60 constituents and 1,040 affiliated campuses are voting for the election of FSU today.
FSU Election: Things to Consider
In some other campuses of the country, including the Ratna Rajya campus in Kathmandu, voting could not be held due to internal disputes. Voting has started in Kathmandu's Tribhuvan University Kirtipur, Thapathali Campus, Shankardev Campus, Law Campus, Bishwa Bhasha Campus, Balmiki Campus.
Voting started from 8 am and will continue till 4 pm. FSU elections was held every two years, but It was not regular since 2009. This time, voting has already started in most of the campuses for the election. Students can be seen queuing up in the campus premises since morning for the selection of the leaders of FSU. In view of the FSU elections, the security arrangements have also been tightened in the campuses where the elections will be held.
