KATHMANDU, November 17: The Election Commission (EC) has said that a three-tier security arrangement has been made in each polling station for the security of the November 20 elections.
Organizing a press conference on Thursday, the EC said that all necessary security arrangements have been made to hold the elections in a clean, fair, fearless, transparent and credible manner.

Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya informed that a three-tier security arrangement has been made with required security personnel in each polling station for the security of the election. He said that a reserve force of security personnel is kept standby so that they can reach the polling station within 30 minutes.
Thapaliya also added that necessary security strategies have been adopted to prevent activities such as attempts to disrupt the elections, forcefully occupying booths, etc. Security patrols will be deployed on the basis of risk and authorized mobile teams will be deployed keeping in mind the sensitivity.
