Clash at polling station in Humla

BIRENDRANAGAR, Nov 20: A clash has been reported at a polling station in Chankheli Rural Municipality-5 of Humla district. An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of police deployed at the polling station was injured in the clash.

BIRENDRANAGAR, Nov 20: A clash has been reported at a polling station in Chankheli Rural Municipality-5 of Humla district. An Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) of police deployed at the polling station was injured in the clash.


Chief District Officer of Humla, Sita Pariyar, informed Republica that ASI Ram Kumar Chaudhary was among those injured in the clash. The clash erupted after the voters protested after they were not allowed to vote on behalf of their representatives.

It has been learnt that the voting at the polling station has been stopped for the time being as security personnel try to bring the situation under control. The polling officials informed that the voting will resume as soon as the situation becomes normal.
