Vote count begins in Dadeldhura

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: The vote count has started in Dadeldhura district, one of the hotspots for the elections to the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies.

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: The vote count has started in Dadeldhura district, one of the hotspots for the elections to the House of Representatives and provincial assemblies.


Chief Election Officer Balkrishna Wagle informed that the vote count in the district has started since 3:30 pm on Monday. Out of 91,201 total voters in the district, 51,660 individuals (56.64 percent) exercised their voting rights on Sunday.

Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Sagar Dhakal are among the top contenders in the district, which has one constituency for  HoR and two seats for Provincial Assembly. As per the preliminary result of vote count, Dhakal is leading with 32 votes, while Deuba has secured just four votes.
