BALEWA, Feb 28: Visually-impaired Amit KC of Baglung district is preparing to scale the highest peak of the world, Mount Everest, next month for a second time. KC, who had returned after reaching South Col due to unfavorable conditions last year, has stepped up his preparation to reach atop Mount Everest again.

Organizing a press conference on Sunday, KC shared that he was effortful to materialize his dream to climb up the world’s highest summit.

KC, a local of Jaimini Municipality-4, Sarkuwa, shared that he has completed all necessary preparations to reach atop Everest. He has urged all helping hands to cooperate with him financially to cherish his dream to climb Everest.

“Last time I was stopped from climbing the summit further due to strong wind. Otherwise I would have been able to successfully scale the highest peak on earth,” he shared.

So far, three visually impaired people have climbed to the summit of Mt Everest since 2001. KC has already climbed three 6,000-meter peaks including Island Peak, Mera Peak, and Lobuche Peak.
