SOLUKHUMBU, April 17: A team of the Nepali Army (NA) has moved ahead from Namche of Solukhumbu to clean the mountains including the world's highest peak, Sagarmatha (Mt Everest).

KATHMANDU, Apr 2: As many as 63 mountaineers received permits to climb Mt Everest, the world's tallest peak, for this year's spring season. According to the Department of Tourism, 13 women and 50 men from five different expedition teams took the permits till Monday.

KATHMANDU, Dec 8: The height of Mount Sagarmatha, world’s highest peak has not decreased from its current height of 8,848 meters. Instead, a source in the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation has said that it has increased a little. According to sources at the ministry, the height might have increased by a meter from its current height 8,848 meters.
