Victims of Gen-Z movement stage sit-in at Maitighar against UML’s program

Police have urged the demonstrators to remain calm, announcing over loudspeakers that no official assembly is scheduled at the site.

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: Victims of the Gen-Z movement have staged a sit-in at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu, demanding that the CPN-UML be barred from holding activities there.

On Friday, the UML was scheduled to announce its Youth Volunteer Force under its mass organization at 11 AM near Maitighar Mandala at the Thapathali bus stop, where party Chairman KP Sharma Oli was expected to formally inaugurate the force. However, following the Gen-Z protest, the organizers have changed their location to in front of the Kathmandu District Court.


Police have urged the demonstrators to remain calm, announcing over loudspeakers that no official assembly is scheduled at the site.
