Vice President calls for unprecedented national unity in his New Year 2077 message

KATHMANDU, April 13: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said the New Year 2077 Bikram Sambat (BS) will provide inspiration to all the Nepalis to demonstrate unprecedented national unity in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.

KATHMANDU, April 13: Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun has said the New Year 2077 Bikram Sambat (BS) will provide inspiration to all the Nepalis to demonstrate unprecedented national unity in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.


Extending best wishes to all the Nepalis on the occasion of the New Year 2077 BS today, the Vice President believed that the coronavirus pandemic would be contained within the initial few months of the New Year and the nation will again soon march ahead on the journey towards fulfilling the national aspiration, 'Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali'.

In a message of best wishes, Vice President Pun stated that the fight against COVID-19 would not be won with the lone efforts of the government, doctors and health workers, and there was the need of full cooperation and support of the general public in this.


Recalling our past track record of adopting patience in the most daunting of situations and facing the challenges with high morale to turn the same in favour, Vice President Pun appealed to all the people to extend full support to the government's decision regarding COVID-19 prevention and control.


"I believe the New Year 2077 that has arrived at our doorstep amidst an adverse situation would be one to be remembered for all the Nepalis," the Vice President said in his message.
