According to a Ladbible report, one of the film writers has confirmed that the second installment of the hilarious yet scary Venom is on its way. The film's co-writer Jeff Pinkner didn't hesitate in confirming what fans have been waiting to hear. Pinkner said: "I can't say anything other than that it is happening." He, however, refused to divulge the other finer details.
The report also hints at Spider-Man making an appearance in Venom 2, since in the comic series he is closely related to him. On being asked if there was a possibility on the two coming together, the writer told Ladbible: "Without revealing anything that I'm not supposed to reveal, it is not impossible a future I think it's fair to say that everyone involved would be very excited by a Spider-Man/Venom movie."
The report also states that Sony has already adapted the backstory for Riot - played by Riz Ahmed - in Venom, so there is no limit on where the next film could go or how characters could fit into the Venom world.
