KATHMANDU, May 16: The Department of Roads has said that all road networks that were disrupted after the massive earthquake in the country now have come into operation except from Barpak to Laprak in Gorkha district.

According to the Department, the vehicular movement in the affected districts has resumed from Friday.

The Department said that landslides along the highways in Sindhupalchowk, Dolakha and Rasuwa districts had caused disruption in vehicular movement after the May 12 aftershock though the road blockade caused from the April 25 devastative earthquake were cleared.

Deputy Director General at the Department Umesh Jha said that efforts are underway to clear the blockade along the Barpak-Laprak section too.

Likewise, Director General at the Department Madhav Kumar Karki said that motorable bridges were unaffected from the May 12 earthquake. He, however, said that additional information on this issue could be shared only after the detailed study from technicians. RSS
