Veep leaves for China

KATHMANDU, Oct 21: Vice-President Pramananda Jha on Thursday left for Chengdu, Sichuan Province of China, to attend the 11th Western China International Fair.



Minister of Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala saw off Jha at the VVIP longue of Tribhuvan International Airport.[break]



Before departure talking with media persons, the Vice President said he will hold talks with top Chinese officials to strengthen trade relations between Nepal and China.



According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jha will participate in the 6th China Expo Forum for International Cooperation and address the forum on October 22.



Eight officials, including Secretary of the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Bimal Wagle, Secretary of Vice-President´s Office Bajra Kishor Prasad Shah and Joint-Secretary of the Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, Rudra Kumar Nepal, are accompanying the Vice-President.



He is returning on October 23.
