KATHMANDU, Dec 24: The weather is expected to remain changeable in the hilly areas of the country today, according to Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. Currently, there is a partial influence of western winds in Nepal.

The weather is generally clear with partly cloudy conditions in the hilly areas and partly cloudy skies in the remaining regions, according to the MFD. This afternoon, the forecast indicates generally clear weather in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the areas are expected to have clear conditions. There is a chance of light snowfall at isolated locations in the high hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Similarly, the weather is anticipated to be generally clear in the remaining parts of the hilly areas of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

The weather is expected to be generally clear tomorrow and the day after Monday in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces. 

The MFD has advised the public to take necessary precautions, as there is a possibility of light snowfall in isolated areas in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
