KATHMANDU, Jan 24: US President Barrak Obama announced his intent to nominate ambassador to Nepal Scott H DeLisi to the post of ambassador to Uganda.

According to a press release issued by the Office of the Press Secretary of The White House, DeLisi is one among more than a dozen changes that the office announced.

The nomination is subject to confirmation by the United States Senate. [break]

DeLisi, a career diplomat, has held the position of US Ambassador in Nepal since March, 2010.

"I will, of course, be saddened to leave Nepal earlier than the normal three year tenure if the Senate confirms me in this new role," DeLisi commented on his Facebook account.
