KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for Friday, indicating a rise in the value of the US dollar compared to the previous day. According to the central bank, the buying rate for one US dollar is Rs 139.83, while the selling rate is Rs 140.43. Similarly, the buying rate for one Euro is Rs 144.96, and the selling rate is Rs 145.58.
The exchange rate for one British pound sterling is set at Rs 173.78 for buying and Rs 174.53 for selling. The Swiss franc stands at Rs 154.49 for buying and Rs 155.15 for selling. Meanwhile, the Australian dollar is being exchanged at Rs 87.64 for buying and Rs 88.01 for selling, while the Canadian dollar's rates are Rs 97.44 and Rs 97.86, respectively. The Singapore dollar's buying rate is Rs 103.36, with a selling rate of Rs 103.80.

For Asian currencies, the buying rate for 10 Japanese yen is Rs 9.17, while the selling rate is Rs 9.21. The Chinese yuan is being exchanged at Rs 19.18 for buying and Rs 19.26 for selling. The Saudi Arabian riyal is at Rs 37.28 for buying and Rs 37.44 for selling, while the Qatari riyal is priced at Rs 38.35 for buying and Rs 38.23 for selling.
The Thai baht stands at Rs 4.14 for buying and Rs 4.16 for selling. The UAE dirham's rates are Rs 38.07 and Rs 38.23, respectively. The Malaysian ringgit is being exchanged at Rs 31.53 for buying and Rs 31.66 for selling. The South Korean won (per 100 units) is at Rs 9.65 for buying and Rs 9.69 for selling. The Swedish krona has a buying rate of Rs 12.81 and a selling rate of Rs 12.86, while the Danish krone is at Rs 19.43 for buying and Rs 19.52 for selling.
Nepal Rastra Bank has also set the exchange rate for the Hong Kong dollar at Rs 17.96 for buying and Rs 18.04 for selling. The Kuwaiti dinar is priced at Rs 453.12 for buying and Rs 455.06 for selling. The Bahraini dinar stands at Rs 370.90 for buying and Rs 372.49 for selling, while the Omani riyal is being exchanged at Rs 363.18 for buying and Rs 364.74 for selling.
Additionally, the exchange rate for 100 Indian rupees has been set at Rs 160.00 for buying and Rs 160.15 for selling. Nepal Rastra Bank has stated that these rates are subject to change at any time if necessary. Commercial banks may set different exchange rates, and the updated rates will be available on the central bank’s website.
