KATHMANDU, June 4: Nepal Rastra Bank has set the foreign exchange rates for Wednesday. According to the central bank, the buying rate of the US dollar stands at Rs 136.65, while the selling rate is Rs 137.25.
The bank has fixed the buying rate of the European euro at Rs 155.60 and the selling rate at Rs 156.29. The British pound sterling's buying rate is Rs 184.42, and its selling rate is Rs 185.23. The Swiss franc buys at Rs 166.33 and sells at Rs 167.06.
The Australian dollar's buying rate is Rs 88.21, and its selling rate is Rs 88.60. The Canadian dollar buys at Rs 99.45 and sells at Rs 99.89. The Singapore dollar's buying and selling rates are Rs 106.04 and Rs 106.51, respectively.
Revised interest rate corridor system introduced
For the Japanese yen, the buying rate for 10 yen is Rs 9.55, and the selling rate is Rs 9.59. The Chinese yuan buys at Rs 19.01 and sells at Rs 19.09. The Saudi Arabian riyal's buying rate is Rs 36.43, and the selling rate is Rs 36.59. The Qatari riyal buys at Rs 37.49 and sells at Rs 37.65.
The central bank has set the Thai baht's buying rate at Rs 4.19 and selling rate at Rs 4.21. The UAE dirham buys at Rs 37.20 and sells at Rs 37.37. The Malaysian ringgit's buying rate is Rs 32.19, and the selling rate is Rs 32.33. The South Korean won's buying rate for 100 won is Rs 9.93, and the selling rate is Rs 9.97. The Swedish krona buys at Rs 14.24 and sells at Rs 14.30. The Danish krone's buying rate is Rs 20.86, and the selling rate is Rs 20.95.
Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the Hong Kong dollar's buying rate at Rs 17.42 and selling rate at Rs 17.49. The Kuwaiti dinar buys at Rs 445.74 and sells at Rs 447.70. The Bahraini dinar's buying rate is Rs 362.49, and the selling rate is Rs 364.08. The Omani riyal buys at Rs 354.96 and sells at Rs 356.52.
The bank has set the buying rate of the Indian rupee (for Rs 100) at Rs 160 and the selling rate at Rs 160.15. Nepal Rastra Bank may revise these exchange rates at any time as needed. The exchange rates set by commercial banks may differ, and updated rates are available on the central bank's website.
