Upper House begins deliberations on principles of budget

KATHMANDU, May 31: Deliberations on the principles of the estimates of income and expenditure for the fiscal year, 2022/23 have begun in today's session of the National Assembly, the Upper House of the Federal Parliament. This followed the proposal of the Finance Minister to hold general deliberations on the budget.

KATHMANDU, May 31: Deliberations on the principles of the estimates of income and expenditure for the fiscal year, 2022/23 have begun in today's session of the National Assembly, the Upper House of the Federal Parliament. This followed the proposal of the Finance Minister to hold general deliberations on the budget. 


Chairman of the Upper House Ganesh Prasad Timilsina called a meeting to deliberate on the principles of budget and respond to queries on the matter for May 31 and June 1.

Budget is presented in the parliament in the Nepali month Jeth 15 (around May-end) every year as per the constitution.
