3:40 AM: Shamsher Ghale and his wife, Kopchi have both been pronounced dead as death toll rose to 5. Seventeen houses have been buried by the landslides.

(EARLIER: 8:30 AM:) DHADING, June 28: The mother and her two daughters were killed after rain induced landslide swept their house in Khaniyabas rural municipality-5. Three more have been feared dead and another four injured in landslides at Satyadevi and Marpak in Dhading on Wednesday night, according to police inspector Dambar BK.
The deceased have been identified as Basodha Gurung, 36 and her daughters, Laxmi, 10, and Saraswati, 5. Bodies of the deceased were retrieved early morning today. Those missing have been identified as Shamsher Ghale (65) and his wife, Kopchi Ghale (62) of Khaniyabas rural municipality-4.
The locals rescued one from the disaster and rushed to local Satya Devi health post, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ram Bahadur KC.
Likewise, a landslide buried five houses at Netrawati Dapjong Rural Municipality. Rescue operation has been affected due to obstructed and perilous roads. Netrawati is a day’s walk from the district headquarters and sercurity personnel are yet to reach the site for rescue and relief operations.
