JHAPA, Oct 1: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal asserted that the party's 'awakening campaign' was launched with the objective of addressing the people’s concerns directly.
Inaugurating the campaign at Kakarvitta in Jhapa district on Sunday, Nepal, also a former Prime Minister, said that the campaign was initiated to create jobs, curb corruption and maintain good-governance.
He said, "We will create awareness among the people to further strengthen the constitution, to promote patriotism, to fight for protection of the republic as well as to amplify the voice of democracy through the campaign."
The campaign will go through many places across the country and will conclude with a corner meeting in Surkhet district on October 16, according to Ghanashyam Bhusal, the party's General-Secretary.
