KATHMANDU: May 18: CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal has alleged that the agreement reached among the ruling coalition parties to form an electoral alliance in the local election was not implemented honestly.

Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of the 29th Madan-Ashrit memorial day on Tuesday, Chairman Nepal said that the ruling coalition parties were not honest in implementing the agreement as seen in the local election results which were ‘quite unexpected’ for the Unified Socialist. He said that this was a sign that the parties in the ruling alliance did not want to coordinate with his party.

He said that a review would take place on the issue. "We need to have a serious discussion on building our party. We will seriously review the election results,” he said. “So far, our party has failed to deliver on its promise," he said.

Chairman Nepal said, “The results are good in some places while the results of other places are not as expected.

Similarly, CPN (Unified Socialist) leader Jhalanath Khanal also said that the results of the local polls are not as the party expected. He also claimed that the ruling coalition did not support the party as per the agreement reached.
