UNHCR deputy chief to visit Nepal

KATHMANDU, April 15: The UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights Kyung-wha Kang, will arrive in Kathmandu on Monday for a three-day visit to Nepal.



According to a statement issued by the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, Nepal (OHCHR), she will meet representatives of the government, national human rights bodies and civil society organizations. [break]



During her stay, Kang will also address the Constituent Assembly members amidst a function to be organized by International Relations and Human Rights Committee of parliament for promulgation of a constitution that would embrace international human rights standards.
