On the occasion, both the sides agreed to meet again and make their positions clear after holding internal discussion within their parties, informed Bhim Rawal, a UML leader, who was present in the meeting.
Present in the meeting, among others, were Madhav Kumar Nepal, KP Oli and Rawal from UML and Raj Kishor Thakur, Mahendra Yadav, Bijaya Kumar Gachchhadar and Rajendra Mahato from the UDMF.
The support of UML, which commands 106 votes, and that of UDMF, with 71 votes in its fold, in parliament have been seen as decisive for either of the PM candidates—UCPN (Maoist)’s Baburam Bhattarai and NC’s Ram Chandra Paudel—to secure a clear result in Sunday’s parliamentary vote.
