The UCPN (Maoist) has already recommended five names for each of the constituencies in the district while the NC and UML have been doing homework for selecting possible candidates here.[break]
The UCPN (Maoist) has proposed Shailendra Ghimire, member of Tamuwan State Committee, Dipendra Bahadur Kshetri, former Vice-chairman of the National Planning Commission, Laxmi Paudel, Khyam Narayan Dhakal and Hum Bahadur Kumal as the possible candidates from Syangja, Constituency No. 1, said Shiva Parajuli, Secretary of the UCPN (Maoist), Syangja.
Similarly, Dipa Bhusal, Tikaram Regmi, Tara Prasad Bhushal, Shiva Prasad Koirala and Prakash Neupane from the Constituency No.2. Koirala, who is In-charge of YCL, Kathmandu, has also possibility of contesting him from Kathmandu Constituency No.4.
Likewise, the local committees have recommended Jagadish Prasad Gaire, Hari Bhattarai, Lokendra Thapa, Narayan Adhikari and Damber Dev Aryal for the first-past-the-post election from Constituency No. 3. Names for the possible candidates for the proportional election from the district have not made public yet.
However, the NC and UML that have been strong influence in the district have been holding discussions for the names. According to NC local committees, Raju Thapa, NC Mahasamiti member, Tulasi Ram Regmi, President of the NC Syangja, Constituency No.1, Tulasi Giri, Jagat Bandhu Aryal, Hira Devi Sharma, Nirmala Lamsal are discussed to be the possible candidates from the Constituency No. 1.
NC central members duo Gopal Man Shrestha and Dhana Raj Gurung,Mohan Prasad Pandey, and Shanker Prasad Pandey, among others´ names are discussed for the possible candidate for the CA election in Syangja.
Likewise, local committees have brought forth names of Narayan Marasini, Min Prasad Gurung, Seema Kshetri Sita Sundas, Padma Aryal, Krishna Bahadur Khand, Chakra Bahadur Parajuli, Mohan Regmi as the possible candidates of the CPN (UML), Syangja.
