UML to reappoint ministers from previous Sudurpaschim govt

DHANDAGI, Aug 5: The CPN-UML has finalized its ministerial appointments for Sudurpaschim Province. The party has named Surendra Pal, Bir Bahadur Thapa, and Hira Sarki as ministers, with Nirmala Saud designated as Minister of State.

DHANDAGI, Aug 5: The CPN-UML has finalized its ministerial appointments for Sudurpaschim Province. The party has named Surendra Pal, Bir Bahadur Thapa, and Hira Sarki as ministers, with Nirmala Saud designated as Minister of State.


An official decision on these appointments will be made during the parliamentary party meeting scheduled for Monday at 2PM.

The UML ministers were previously part of the government led by Dirgha Bahadur Sodari. In Sudurpaschim Province, the UML will assume control of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development, the Ministry of Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.


The Nepali Congress will take responsibility for the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Social Development, while the Nagarik Unmukti Party will manage the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forestry, and Environment.


Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah is set to take the oath of office at 3:30 pm on Monday and is preparing for the expansion of the Council of Ministers.
