KATHMANDU, Mar 6: With the election for the President nearing in, the central committee of UML is meeting at 4 PM today to finalize candidate for the post.
While President, Bidhya Devi Bhandari has expressed desire to continue her second term, Jhalnath Khanal, another senior leader of the party is also vying for the post. Today’s emeting will decide which among the two will be recommended by the UML.

The meeting is scheduled at Prime Minister’s Residence, Baluwatar.
Apart from finalizing candidate, the meeting will also discuss on party merger and other issues.
