KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Unable to decide on candidate for Chief Minister of Province 3, CPN-UML is holding an internal election for the position today.
While five leaders, Asta Laxmi Shakya, Rajendra Pandey, Dormani Paudel, Rameshwor Phuyal and Ganesh Dulal had planned to compete for the position, three of them are planning to withdraw their names.

As a result, the competition is likely to be between Asta Laxmi Shakya and Dormani Paudel from Madhav Kumar Nepal and KP Sharma Oli factions respectively.
Other potential candidates have withdrawn their nominations. The election will be held after 12:30 PM.
