Party Chairman Jhalanath Khanal and other senior party leaders, including Bamdev Gautam and KP Sharma Oli, led the protest rally in the capital. The rally began from Ratna Park and ended at the same venue. [break]
Addressing party cadres, Khanal said the current UCPN (Maoist) government is reluctant for consensus and warned that they would force the government out through protest if it continues ignoring their calls.
Party Vice-chairman Bamdev Gautam said the struggle against the anti-people government has just begun. He also accused Maoists of trying to disrupt communal harmony in the country
He also described the demonstration as the beginning of a tussle between those thriving for social harmony and those standing against it.
