TAPLEJUNG, Nov 23: CPN-UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai is trailing behind the coalition candidate Khel Prasad Budhakshetri of the CPN (Maoist Center). Budhakshetri is leading Bhattarai with 400 votes.
It is expected that Bhattarai will reduce the vote difference when the results of the vote counting from Sidingwa Rural Municipality 2, Sadewa, start coming out. Bhattarai did not get as many votes as expected from his own home village in Maivakhola Rural Municipality. Bhattarai's hope now is in Phungling Municipality.
Meanwhile, Budhakshetri is looking for a stake to prevent Bhattarai from reaching the House of Representatives for the second time by collecting the votes of the municipality as well.
