PALPA, 25 Nov: CPN-UML candidate for the House of Representatives membership from Palpa Constituency No. 2, Thakur Gaire has won the election, securing 27,817 votes.
His closest competitor, Somprasad Pandey, the candidate of the CPN (Unified Socialist) from the Left Democratic Alliance, received 23,851 votes.
Gaire won with a margin of 3,966 votes.
