SAPTARI, March 6: The mass meeting of the CPN-UML, as part of the Mechi-Mahakali campaign, has begun in Maleth despite protests by the United Democratic Madheshi Front (UDMF).
Top leaders including, former Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli, Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal among others are in the program organized at Gajendra Narayan Industrial Area.
Party leader Ram Prit Paswan has addressed the program.
UDMF cadres are protesting nearby the venue. They are chanting the slogans against the campaign with black flags. Local administration has deployed large numbers of security forces to avoid the possible scuffle between two groups.
