KATHMANDU, Aug 26: The CPN-UML today expressed sadness over the passing of Nepali folksinger and musician Khem Raj Gurung.
The statement issued by Chief of UML Publicity Department Yogesh Bhattarai today said that the death of Gurung is an irreparable loss to the country as it has lost a promising talent and integral leader of the movements for social awakening and political change.
Gurung, who was best known for his hit 'Wari Jamuna Pari Jamuna' died on Thursday at Medicare National Hospital and Research Centre, Chabahil at the age of 42.
Gurung was suffering from jaundice.
