KATHMANDU, Sept 12: CPN-UML has directed its lawmakers not to leave the Constituent Assembly (CA) after the clause-wise voting begins on the constitution bill.

A Parliamentary Party meeting of the party on Sunday directed the CA members to that end. UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli directed the lawmakers although CA members are not obliged to follow whip of party they represent in the CA.

Lawmaker Yagyaraj Sunuwar said Chairman Oli told the meeting that constitution writing process will not be halted in any pretext.

Oli said PM Sushil Koirala had called the meeting of three parties to brief on latest developments this morning.

“But, we failed to attend the meet due to busy schedule,” he said.
