The attack by a criminal group was carried out under the leadership of the UCPN-Maoist-affiliated YCL Rukum District members Mahesh Swarnakar and Laxman Shahi, the party has said.[break]
Regional In-charge Rikhi Prasad Sharma, Village Committee Chairperson Indra Bahadur Shahi and member Kul Bahadur Basyal have been serious injured in the attack.
The party has demanded that the Government take immediate action against the criminals and called upon the UCPN (Maoist) to apologize in public for the act.
