KATHMANDU, April 18: Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist), Jhala Nath Khanal, has pointed out the need of further expansion and consolidation of present ruling coalition by including other political parties.
"The performance of the present coalition is satisfactory. But we have seen several problems with the coalition too. Therefore, it needs to be further expanded and consolidated by including other political parties," Khanal said at Tribhuvan International Airport before leaving for a week-long China visit on Saturday morning.
He said expansion of the coalition was necessary to ensure the drafting of new constitution and army integration, among other tasks, are completed within the scheduled time. He, however, ruled out the possibility of toppling the government.
